His Legacy

Cornelius Vanderbilt died a very very rich man.  He left behind his estate which his son William inherited.  Cornelius also left behind his businesses which William also took over and operated.  But there is something else Cornelius left behind.  And that is a legacy.  What is Cornelius remembered as?  Many people say the richest American in the mid 1800s.  But after researching more about Cornelius and his accomplishments, the legacy that is most impactful is the contributions he made to the industrial America.  Vanderbilt would not settle for less and made sure he was the best.  His drive fueled industrialization in America and gave America a head start in economy.  His passion, determination, and achievements prove that with a will, there is a way.  Cornelius Vanderbilt marks a great time in American history.
